The emphasis for this year’s basketballscotland RAF National Player Development Camps will be “Excellence”. Everything we do at camp will be focused entirely on providing the best development opportunities for the players, coaches and staff who attend our camp. The position of camp coach is essential to the success of this approach. Those seeking to help deliver these opportunities to our players must accept responsibility to do and represent the following:

- Adhere to all camp policies, procedures and employee expectations.
- Accept the responsibility for specific actions as directed by the Head Coach or Camp Director.
- Actively deliver all drill sessions using the teaching points and areas of emphasis as directed by the Head Coach or Camp Director to a superior standard.
- Assist in the delivery of all competition sessions to a superior standard.
- Keep notes on all participants within reach, helping them progress through the duration of the camp.
- Attend and actively participate in all staff meetings and other forums where directed by the Camp Director.
- Deliver lectures as stipulated by the Camp Programme and Head Coach.
- Assist other coaches set up of all activity areas during competition and training sessions.
- Collect all equipment at the end of each session and store equipment as per the directions of the Head Coach.
- Conduct a daily check of all areas and equipment where competition and training sessions are to be conducted for safety, cleanliness, and good repair and report to Head Coach.
- Be alert to potential hazardous situations and follow established emergency procedures when required.
